On November 29, 2024, the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) celebrated the graduation of Cohorts 18 and 19 of the Female Future Leadership Program at Serena Hotel. Ms. Jacqueline Mugo, Executive Director and CEO of FKE opened the event emphasizing true progress in gender equality cannot be claimed without ensuring equal access for women to decision-making positions and incorporating their perspectives in shaping both present and future decisions. She highlighted the significant achievements women have made, while also addressing the ongoing gaps.
The event featured a panel discussion on "Gender Inclusion for Impactful Leadership," with experts such as Ms. Jacqueline Mugo, Caroline Njuki, ILO Chief Technical Advisor, Hon. Lady Justice Joyce Aluoch, Nancy Butama, Chief HR Officer at Juhudi Kilimo, and Wendy Okolo, IFC Program Manager for Women's Economic Inclusion-Kenya.
The Chief Guest , Patricia Ithau delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the power and resilience of women. She urged women to embrace their strengths, take their place at decision-making tables, dream big, and celebrate their achievements. She also highlighted the importance of building supportive networks and communities, both male and female, to mentor and inspire women. The graduation ceremony marked a key milestone in advancing gender equality and women’s leadership in Kenya.
