On the 8th of January 2026, the Federation of Kenya Employers broke ground on Waajiri House, marking the start of construction for its new headquarters.
A vision first conceived in 2016, is officially taking shape under the leadership of Ms. Jacqueline Mugo, the Executive Director and CEO of FKE and the current management. In her opening remarks during the ground breaking ceremony, Ms. Mugo reflected on the project's journey, appreciating past and present leadership, members, and staff for their collective contribution to this day.
The milestone was celebrated with songs, prayers, and a blessing of the ground by the Assistant Bishop, alongside remarks from the FKE National President, FKE First Vice President, the NSSF Chairman, and the CEO of the Kenya Bankers Association, as board members, members, and staff looked on in celebration.
This member-driven and member-approved project, representing a long-standing vision to establish a permanent home for employers in Kenya, will not only strengthen FKE’s financial sustainability and enhance service delivery but will also provide a modern professional home for employers.
