The Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) Coast Region Branch held its 64th Annual General Meeting on May 15, 2025, in Mombasa. The meeting brought together employers from across the region to discuss industrial relations, emerging challenges, and evolving business trends under the theme "Building Thriving Businesses in a Shifting Business Environment."
The AGM was presided over by Mr. Rodger Dainty, Chairman of the Kenya Ships Agents Association, as Chief Guest, and hosted by Ms. Jacqueline Mugo, EBS, Executive Director & CEO of FKE.
In her remarks, Ms. Mugo reaffirmed the Federation’s strong commitment to advocating for employers. She encouraged members to actively engage with FKE, raise concerns on pressing issues, and take full advantage of the broad range of services and training programs available through the Federation.
On his part, Regional President Dr. Kisa presented a comprehensive report on the state of industrial relations in the Coast Region. He highlighted both the persistent challenges and the resilience of businesses navigating a dynamic economic environment.
The Chief Guest emphasized that survival in today’s economy depends more on adaptability than strength. He urged employers to embrace technology, prioritize sustainability, and invest in people and partnerships as key strategies for long-term growth.
Following successful Regional AGMs in Western, Rift Valley, and Coast, FKE extends a warm invitation to all members to attend the National Annual General Meeting on May 28, 2025, at Serena Hotel, Nairobi.
