The Federation of Kenya Employers successfully led the signing of a CBA between the Kenya Teas Growers Association (KTGA-Kerich, Sotic Nandi & Limuru Branches) and the Kenya Plantation and Agricultural Workers Union (KPAWU) in Nakuru. Both parties were confident that the signing of this Collective Bargaining Agreement will go a long way in establishing workplace rights for both parties. They lauded FKE for its role in making this journey a success.
FKE's role during negotiations of Collective Bargaining Agreements is to chair the meetings and act as a neutral party ensuring that the terms of employment including pay, benefits, leave and other provisions are negotiated and the agreement terms are fair to both the Industry Union and the Employer.
The Federation continues to offer effective representation and progressive advice to its members as witnessed in the number of negotiations undertaken on behalf of employers.
