Ms. Jacqueline Mugo, Executive Director and CEO of the Federation of Kenya Employers, joined the Female Future Leadership Program Cohort 20 class for a mentorship session during their rhetoric module 2 at the Fair View Hotel in Nairobi.
She shared powerful insights on leadership as a journey, emphasizing the importance of mentorship, being present, and stepping up even when it's uncomfortable.
Ms. Mugo spoke candidly about the challenges women face in leadership and how to navigate the resistance that comes with going against the norms. She encouraged the cohort to stand firm, lead from a place of values, grounded in purpose—and for her, rooted in faith.
This session provided a chance for the CEO and Executive Director to share her leadership journey, the lessons she has learnt, and the tips she wishes she had learned earlier in life that would have helped her have an easier journey.
