Disputes are bound to arise in all relationships, including employment relationships between employers and employees or other parties at the workplace. Sustaining relationships after disputes is critical and highly determined by how these disputes are resolved.

Progressively, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanisms have gained currency over litigation with mediation emerging as a powerful tool that fosters win-win solutions, reconciling differences, and promoting lasting harmony among parties.

Recognizing this, the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) in conjunction with the Dispute & Conflict Resolution International (DCRI) held its 1st Workplace Mediation Workshop from the 24th to the 26th of September 2024 at Eton Hotel in Thika, establishing herself as a Mediation Centre where employers can benefit from this alternative dispute resolution method.

The workshop featured Mrs. Jacqueline Mugo, the FKE Executive Director/CEO, Judge Lee Muthoga, Founder and DCRI Chairman, Rev. Geoffrey Njenga, DCRI Director, Ms. Shelmith Mugoh, Mrs. Mary Cheruiyot, DCRI CEO, Mr. Andrew Masese, Senior Industrial Relations Office at FKE and Mr. Eric Munyobi, the FKE Consulting and Training Manager as the Consultants.
