The Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) participated in the Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA) Conference at Lake Naivasha Resort from the 26th to the 30th of August 2024. The conference, themed “Revolutionizing TVET in Africa: Embracing Innovations for Sustainable Development,” focused on transforming Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) across the continent.

Representing FKE’s Executive Director & CEO Ms. Jacqueline Mugo, who also serves as the Secretary General of Businesss Africa Employers' Confederation Mr. Stephen Obiro, Head of Advocacy, Consulting, and Partnerships, delivered a keynote address on “Promoting Circular Economy in TVET for Sustainable Development.” He emphasized how TVET can drive a circular economy and the need for stronger collaboration between employers and TVET institutions to create sustainable job markets.

FKE remains committed to supporting skills development and sustainable practices through TVET, ensuring benefits for employers in Kenya and Africa.
